About Benalmadena Peublo

Benalmadena Pueblo has retained its true identity as a typical Andalusian village. It is a favourite with both Spaniards and visitors. Its whitewashed cobbled streets meander from the foothills of the mountains, the picturesque village of Benalmadena is spectacular and it is a delight to wander through the narrow streets and still sense the influences of civilisations gone by.

There is a population of over 60,000 people at the peak of the season in Benalmadena Peublo. The village is 280 metres above sea level and has magnificent views of the Mediterranean.  This tranquil village is also home to the Town Hall Building.

Buying a property in Benalmadena Pueblo is a natural choice for anyone who enjoys the tranquillity and the slower pace of life in a rural countryside location.

There are bus links to the village and up the hill in the grounds of the Castillo de Aguilas is the Birds of Prey Centre. There are daily shows from October to April. Next to the centre is the Castillo Colombo (a miniature castle) and a reptile sanctuary.
However if your interests are more suited to historical artefacts and exhibitions, then a visit to the Museo Arqueologico is a must.

This small inland community presents a complete contrast to the attractions on the coastal strip of Benalmadena Costa. In spite of the many developments that now surround the area, the spirit of the Pueblo is conserved and delights every visitor with the fantastic floral displays from this majestic village.
